christine and marjon are both based in singapore. very young, energetic graduates of UP, mga iskolar ng bayan na ngayo’y namamayagpag sa ibayong dagat… no, i will not go into the issue of brain drain… i have mixed feelings about our people going abroad… i just remembered one who suggested that we must have new breeds of millionaires who’ll start their business back here in the country and provide jobs and meaning to co-Filipinos…hmm, just some random thoughts…

back to the wedding!

it was my second time at josephine’s and some of the waiters are already quite familiar..their friendly greeting really made me feel at ease at this place…

the wedding coordinators, poshparties did a great job! i especially appreciate their attentiveness to details… they are friendly and a really coordinated group…plus the men also wore their barong tagalog! elegantly cool for wedding coordinators! hope to work with them again!

what i like about this wedding program was the game the couple invented to replace the traditional bouquet and garter toss.  since marjon and friends are fanatics of warcraft, they decided to have the match-the-warcraft cards game. the couple who will get the unmatched cards became the lucky winners! one couple had matching cards and they were really boyfriends and were about to get married also this year!!! wow! talk about conincidence  or just plain meant for each other!

have a cool journey, christine and marjon… overseas and maybe someday…back home again…as millionaires?!  why not!?

almost a year…benisse & noel, 21 april ‘07, csa audi-gym, bñ

such a deliquent writer! perdone! i’m short of two months to a year since i last updated this site of mine. well, now, finally, after so many attempts, i’m sitting here in front of my friend’s PC and hoping to have an updated wordpress. (thanks thanks to kuya wio!)

 

last night, i had a great time hosting benisse & noel’s reception program. it was held at the colegio san agustin’s cool ( as in really cool…brrrr…) audi-gym here in my hometown in biñan.  it was short notice (just about a week to prepare and  finalize their program) but everything went well…with a little help from friends. in implementing the program,  i really appreciate the help kuya roroi extended…he put on the role of being the coordinator for the event… ( i really believe, kuya, that you should try to get into the business of events management and earn from what you love doing!!!). friends in the neighborhood like egoy & jean, ish & baba also helped in the coordination and avp presentation.

 

thanks also to our beloved parish priest fr. danny dagsaan, osa and the other members of the agustinian community in biñan — fr. raymund alcayaga, osa, fray ricky sagum, osa and fray gerard co, osa — the event was really a blast!!! — from the stage decoration, to some touches in the program and of course, the wonderful voices of fr. raymund and fray gerard who serenaded the couple and the guests.

i can almost here the Beatles’ song , “i get by with a little help from my friends…“

Friends really do the math well— minuses and multiplies….  

Friends help lessen our burdens and double our joys.

these two UP geology majors are fun to be with. with the way friends and family expressed their love messages for the couple, i really felt that both of them are really really loved. no mountain is too high enough, no ocean is deep enough for these two – their love is sure to conquer anything!

 

instead of the traditional bouquet toss, we had —hoolahoops!!!

men expected a garter toss but instead they enjoyed dancing their sexiest limbo rock ever!!!

the house rocked!! ROCK ON – geologists chachi & gilbert!!!

of course, the party would not have been that enjoyable without the help of chachi’s loving sister – kaye

a very sweet, simple yet elegant wedding this was.  people were really so kind and sincere. so great is their love for one another that it really shows…  i love the “one-liners” — words of wisdom– shared by seasoned couples that night. “Have patience as deep as the ocean…” gosh! i know that that had to be really deep!

nung bata ako, madalas akong manood ng kulit bulilit.  tingin ko pa nga noo’y medjo cute si smokey manaloto (ahem!!). hindi ko akalaing magiging bahagi ako ng pag-iisang dibdib nina mec at jojo. si jojo taga- kulit b. ayos ba konek?

di gambar ini, saya menyanyi nyanyian Filipina di dalam bahasa Indonesia. nyanyian itu adalah “Karenamu” –di dalam bahasa Filipina, ini artinya “Dahil sa ‘yo”…  Kamu mau saya menyanyi di pernikahanmu? kita melihat saja, ya?…tapi, saya bukan ahli, ya? tapi saya suka sekali manyanyi dan bermain gitar. temanku, namanya joyce. dia bermain piano yang bagus sekali!! kami di Jogja Plaza Hotel di Yogyakarta.

in this picture, i am singing a Filipino song in the Indonesian language. This song is “Karenamu” — in Filipino language, this means “Because of You”… Do you want me to sing in your wedding? We’ll just see, okay? but i am not an expert, ok? but i like very much to sing and play the guitar. my friend, her name is joyce. she plays the piano very well!!  we were in Jogja Plaza Hotel in Yogyakarta.
